Love or Caregiving?!

I cringe, looking at those women who seemed to have a hard time assisting foreign Caucasian men at the clinic in Mansasa.

I can imagine the first couple, the man in his early sixties was in so much pain and he was trying to communicate that he wanted to be seen by a Doctor right away because he was already swimming on his pee at home.

His foot was also inflamed or looks like it was bloated.

There is the urgency to see a Doctor and the woman he was with was having a hard time trying to make him understand to be patient and torn between worrying and trying to pacify him.

I really feel so much pity for them both.

While waiting for my check up, another couple happened to be almost of the same predicament. The Caucasian man look so tall and heavy and he cannot even stand on his own. He needs assistant from two women in order to stand from the stool.

It made me reflect how…..many years ago, I so long to be away and live abroad and probably marry a Caucasian man. And now, I am like NO WAY!

With how heavy they look, the communication issues and how tiny we are as Filipinas. It can really be challenging!

Thank you Lord for not letting me decide things on my own.
