Matthew 6:19-21 is TRUE These Days (156 of 365)

I told my colleague that it's Friday the 13th today. This date and day is usually associated with many scary things being superstitious and all. I live in a country where many people believe in many things, fairy tales, witch craft, voodoo, ghosts, and many others.

But with what's going on with the world today: COVID, typhoon ROLLY, typhoon Ulysses, my colleague responded with "Is there really anything to scare us these days?".

She is so right!

Seems like our hearts are full. Full of frustrations and sadness that sometimes we don't feel the pain anymore.

Ulysses has caused many losses on properties. Floods has reached to the roof of many homes in Marikina and Rizal areas.

I am reminded of Matthew 6:19-21 that says "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Can't imagine for myself a hard-earned money to build a house and the flood has even reached the roof. Or the car which is now floating in the flood. How devastating :'(
